Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University Concludes Successful “Run & Ride Competition”

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) recently wrapped up the “Run & Ride Competition,” a vibrant event held under the auspices of Dubai Duty Free. This competition formed part of the fourth edition of the “Tomorrow Run & Ride” initiative, coordinated alongside Dubai Sports as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2025. Launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and University President, this initiative aims to encourage fitness and an active lifestyle within the community.

A Community Celebration of Fitness

The event took place at the HBMSU campus, located in Dubai Academic City, and attracted participants from diverse age groups, including families, children, and sports enthusiasts. The lively atmosphere fostered a sense of community spirit and enthusiasm, making it a memorable occasion for everyone involved.

Competition Highlights

The competition featured an 18-kilometer duathlon, catering to both men and women in two age categories: 16–25 years and 26–45 years. Additionally, the “Tomorrow Run & Ride” initiative included various challenges designed to engage participants of all ages. These included a 4-kilometer fun run, a cycling race for children under the age of 12, and a 14-kilometer cycling challenge, ensuring ample opportunities for participants to showcase their abilities and enjoy the activities.

Celebrating the Winners

Participants in the “Run & Ride Competition” were recognized for their achievements, receiving medals, trophies, cash prizes, and sports gifts. The winners were as follows:

Category One:

  • First Place: Sultan Jamal
  • Second Place: Abdullah Al Ali
  • Third Place: Sultan Mubarak

Category Two:

  • First Place: Mohamed Nour Al Din
  • Second Place: Momen Nasr
  • Third Place: Lee Eaaon

Ramesh Cidambi, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, expressed his pride in partnering with HBMSU for the event.
