The Mohammed Bin Rashid Center: A Leader in Qur’an Printing

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Printing the Holy Qur’an is notable for its commitment to quality and authenticity in Qur’anic publishing. Founded on July 22, 2014 (24 Ramadan 1435 AH) under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, this center quickly emerged as a vital institution in the Middle East for Qur’an printing.

This innovative center prints the Holy Qur’an in various authenticated recitations, including the widely recognized styles of Hafs, Warsh, Qalun, and Shu‘bah. Beyond the text itself, the center also publishes materials that delve into the Sciences of the Qur’an, approved commentaries, and various targeted Islamic publications. These materials are available in a range of sizes and designs to cater to diverse audiences.

Equipped with state-of-the-art production facilities, the center boasts high-capacity offset printing presses alongside precision binding and specialized finishing units dedicated to the unique needs of Qur’anic publishing. With the ability to produce up to 15 million copies annually, the center stands among the largest Qur’an printing operations in the region. Each phase of production is rigorously overseen by a specialized Sharia committee comprising qualified Qur’anic scholars, ensuring that the integrity and textual accuracy of the publications are maintained. Since its inception, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center has established itself as a key authority in Qur’an printing and distribution, solidifying Dubai and the UAE’s status as leaders in this specialized industry.

Multilingual Publications: Bridging Cultures

The center’s initiative to print the Qur’an in multiple languages aligns seamlessly with Dubai Media’s goal of making the Qur’anic message accessible to a diverse global audience. This commitment is evident as the center publishes translations of the meanings of the Holy Qur’an in over 50 languages, which include English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and several others such as Japanese, Hindi, and Swahili.

By providing these multilingual editions, the center not only caters to a wide array of non-Arabic speakers but also ensures that they can engage with the message of the Qur’an in their native tongues, all while preserving the authenticity of the original text. This effort not only enhances accessibility but also encourages intercultural dialogue, promoting a spirit of tolerance and coexistence among different communities.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Center’s multilingual publications greatly contribute to Dubai’s vision as a global hub of cultural exchange. The center plays a pivotal role in fostering meaningful engagement across different cultures, thereby supporting the wider objectives of responsible communication and knowledge dissemination championed by Dubai Media.
