In an era defined by rapid technological evolution, the intersection of creativity and artificial intelligence is transforming how children learn and engage with stories. One shining example of this innovation is the animated series “Piper Ki Duniya (World of Piper),” which seeks to enhance educational content through AI-driven storytelling. Developed by English Biscuit Manufacturers (EBM) — notable for the globally recognized Peek Freans brand — the series is designed for children aged 4 to 12, offering a unique blend of cultural insights, narrative depth, and emotional intelligence.
At the core of “Piper Ki Duniya” is the harmonious fusion of human creativity and artificial intelligence. Teams based in the USA and Pakistan utilized cutting-edge AI models to craft a series that vividly illustrates the historical richness of the Islamic world for young viewers in Pakistan. By employing U.S.-based AI models like Midjourney and Leonardo AI for character design—especially for the brand’s beloved mascot, the Pied Piper—EBM ensured that every character resonates with viewers. German model Flux AI was further integrated to maintain character consistency, resulting in 25 distinct visuals for each character that capture unique facial features, expressions, and attire.
The animation process employed American Runway AI and Chinese Kling AI, which transformed static designs into dynamic, lifelike characters. This sophisticated animation brings to life the 3D resurgence of the Pied Piper, effectively conveying universal values such as kindness, patience, and generosity through engaging narratives. Since its debut on the Peek Freans Young Pipers’ Club YouTube channel, the series has rapidly gained traction, amassing over 100,000 subscribers in less than four weeks and achieving over 13 million views to date. Its remarkable success has been celebrated with YouTube’s Silver Play Button award.
Shahzain Munir, executive director at EBM, expressed the motivation behind the creation of “Piper Ki Duniya,” stating, “As a parent, one of my biggest challenges has been teaching my 5-year-old values like patience, compassion, and faith in a way that truly connects with him. That insight inspired ‘Piper Ki Duniya.’” The series aims to bridge the generational gap in storytelling and instill meaningful values that resonate with contemporary families, fostering both curiosity and reflection.
The creative journey was ambitious, as the team sought to leverage technology in a way that transcends mere automation. A representative from Singularity Marketing remarked, “Bringing Piper Ki Duniya to life was unlike any other project. We challenged the technology to go beyond algorithms and really reflect how children think, feel, and engage with content today.” Attention to detail was paramount, with considerations given to character behavior and dialogue rhythm, all designed to feel alive and relatable for young audiences.
Launched during the spiritually significant month of Ramadan, “Piper Ki Duniya” aspires to inspire children while incorporating Islamic values into engaging narratives. The series is underpinned by data-driven insights and aligns with children’s attention spans, ensuring that the content is not only age-appropriate but also encourages family involvement. By embracing AI-led storytelling, EBM showcases its commitment to purposeful innovation, illustrating how modern technology can preserve cultural heritage while imparting enduring values to future generations.
