## Dubai Club for People of Determination Unveils Annual Ramadan Festival

On Monday, the Dubai Club for People of Determination kicked off its much-anticipated annual Ramadan Festival, showcasing a vibrant mix of sporting, cultural, and community activities.

### An Array of Events for Everyone

This year’s festival features an impressive lineup of 72 programs tailored to accommodate all categories of People of Determination. It aims to create a welcoming atmosphere that embodies the values of giving, unity, and community spirit. Supported by a plethora of government and private sector collaborations, the festival will run until March 12, 2026, celebrating 88 podium finishes and recognizing 150 winners throughout its duration.

### Highlight: The Dubai Holy Quran Competition

A central attraction of the festival is the 14th edition of the Dubai Holy Quran Competition for People of Determination. Under the patronage of Sheikha Rawda bint Ahmed bin Juma Al Maktoum, the competition commenced on Monday. This year’s event has drawn more than 700 participants who will compete in various categories, ranging from memorization of the entire Holy Quran to sections of varying lengths.

The competition is designed to encourage participants to deepen their connection with the Holy Quran while fostering spiritual growth during Ramadan, a time of reflection and community.

### Emphasis on Family Values

Aligned with the UAE’s “Year of the Family 2026,” the festival places particular focus on nurturing family bonds and instilling community values. The club has organized several family-centric cultural initiatives, including an art competition aimed at designing a Ramadan-themed family model. Other contests, such as “My Family Reads” and “A Painting from My Family,” further promote family engagement.

Additionally, the festival will mark Zayed Humanitarian Work Day and feature the Ramadan Majlis, enriching the communal experience during this special month.

### Cultural and Community Engagement

In total, the festival encompasses over 60 cultural and community activities. Participants can look forward to interactive workshops, awareness sessions, religious evenings, volunteer opportunities, and artistic and heritage projects. These initiatives are crafted to inspire family involvement and bolster social responsibility among attendees.

### Sports Highlight: Wheelchair Basketball

On the sporting side, the festival includes 12 different sports, engaging over 300 People of Determination along with club staff members. A notable event will be the Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, which is part of the renowned Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament set to begin on Tuesday.

### Acknowledgments from Club Leadership
