From Toronto to Qatar: A Global Journey
Interestingly, Fatehi’s passion for South Asian culture didn’t bloom in India, but in the vibrant city of Toronto. Reflecting on her childhood, she shares, “It all started for me at a young age in Toronto, where we celebrated South Asian month. We’d wear beautiful lehengas and saris and participate in Diwali festivities. This early exposure to rich cultural celebrations shaped my identity significantly.”
This multicultural backdrop has played a pivotal role in her widespread appeal. Fatehi’s Bollywood tracks have even outperformed major international artists like Taylor Swift on platforms such as YouTube. Additionally, her performance during the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony, amid the historic clash of Argentina and France, was a defining moment in her career. She reminisces, “Performing at that event was life-changing for me.”
However, she emphasizes that such milestones result from hard work rather than fate. “I’m not formally trained in any specific area,” she admits. “But I dedicate countless hours to my craft, pouring passion and intention into everything I do. The hard work is what truly resonates.”
Headlining Untold Festival: A New Era Begins
Looking ahead, Fatehi is gearing up to headline the Untold Festival in Dubai on November 7. This isn’t just another performance; it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her career. “This year, Untold features me along with an incredible lineup of global DJs. I can’t wait for my upcoming set—it’s going to be a show you won’t want to miss,” she says, encouraging fans to grab their tickets. “I have two huge surprises in my performance that I think everyone will love… and I will also be launching a new song live at the Untold Festival in Dubai, which makes it even more special.”
