MERED Strengthens Community Bonds with Live Art Activation by Emirati Artist Faris Al-Hammadi at ICONIC Residences Construction Site

Dubai, UAE – MERED hosted a unique live art activation featuring Emirati visual artist Faris Al-Hammadi at the construction site of ICONIC Residences, designed by Pininfarina. This invitation-only event transformed the construction area into a vibrant space where architecture and art coexisted, allowing attendees to appreciate the views of significant UAE landmarks, including Palm Jumeirah, Bluewaters with Ain Dubai, Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, and Marsa Al Arab.

Artistic Collaboration at ICONIC Residences

Faris Al-Hammadi, an ambassador for the Yas Association for Culture, Art and Theatre, led the artistic session, showcasing his expertise in oil portraiture and live drawing. His artistic approach merges heritage with contemporary techniques, honed during his studies in Florence, Italy. Al-Hammadi has been commissioned by various national institutions, including the Crown Prince’s Court and the Central Bank of the UAE, and he founded the Faris Al Hammadi Fine Arts Studio, where he nurtures emerging talent in the UAE.

During the event, Al-Hammadi emphasized the interconnectedness of art and architecture, stating that both invite deeper exploration beyond their surfaces. He expressed pride in contributing to the artistic spirit of the tower, highlighting the views of Burj Al Arab and Marsa Al Arab as symbols of human creativity.

Engaging Brokers in the Creative Process

Under Al-Hammadi’s guidance, brokers created artwork inspired by the stunning views from the residences, capturing the essence of the seascape and skyline. Guests were encouraged to leave personal messages on a designated wall for future residents, celebrating the UAE’s resilience and sense of community. The event also included a guided walkthrough of the development, which will feature 310 premium apartments and a distinctive two-level penthouse.

Michael Belton, CEO of MERED, remarked on the significance of integrating art into design, noting that great design is fundamentally rooted in artistic expression. He highlighted the collaboration with Pininfarina as a testament to their commitment to creating spaces that resonate personally with residents and visitors alike.

ICONIC Residences: A New Standard in Luxury Living

ICONIC Residences promises a genuine Pininfarina experience, offering fully furnished apartments with interiors that reflect a cohesive design language. The development targets buyers seeking turnkey branded homes characterized by premium specifications and design continuity, situated within Dubai’s luxury residential market.

As of March 2026, the tower has reached approximately 130 meters in height, with construction advancing to Level 26. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works have been completed on the first technical floor, while residential construction continues across multiple levels. Interior materials are being prepared for the next phase of fit-out, overseen by MERED’s in-house quality control team.

Commitment to Community and Innovation

The event underscores MERED’s dedication to the values of progress, innovation, and community that shape its developments. By fostering artistic expression and collaboration, MERED aims to create immersive living experiences that resonate with the cultural fabric of the UAE.
