Exciting Races at the Dubai Autodrome

On Saturday, His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who serves as the President of the UAE National Olympic Committee and holds the position of Chairman at the Dubai Sports Council, attended the thrilling third round of the Asian Le Mans Series for the 2025-2026 season at the Dubai Autodrome. The event showcased an impressive lineup of elite international drivers and teams, making it a significant event in the international motorsport calendar.

Meet and Greet with Malaysian Royals

During the event, Sheikh Mansoor had the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness Tunku Abdul Rahman bin Sultan Ibrahim (Tunku Panglima Johor) alongside his brother, His Royal Highness Tunku Abu Bakar bin Sultan Ibrahim (Tunku Putera Johor). Both princes, who are the sons of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the King of Malaysia and Sultan of Johor, are deeply involved in motorsport as competitors in this prestigious championship.

Johor Motorsport Racing Teams Up with a New Corvette Z06 GT3.R

The Malaysian princes are racing under the banner of the Johor Motorsport Racing (JMR) team, which has made significant upgrades this season, including the introduction of the formidable Corvette Z06 GT3.R cars. Tunku Abu Bakar pilots the number 66 car, while Tunku Abdul Rahman competes in both the Pro and Amateur categories, underscoring a powerful Asian representation at the heart of the Dubai event.

CrowdStrike Racing by APR Takes the Title

As the third round progressed, the CrowdStrike Racing by APR team, featuring drivers George Kurtz, Malthe Jacobsen, and Louis Deletraz, emerged victorious, claiming the Dubai 4 Hours title. Their success was propelled by strategic moves in the closing stages, effectively capitalizing on several safety car periods that altered race dynamics. Deletraz notably made a decisive pass on Alex Quinn of the No. 64 Nielsen Racing car, which ultimately finished in eighth place due to tire issues.

JMR Team Shines Amidst Competitive Field

The podium was rounded out by Cetelaar Racing in second place with the No. 47 vehicle, followed by RD Limited in third with their No. 30 car. In the GT class, Ferrari Kessel Racing (No. 74) proudly secured their second consecutive win of the season, crossing the finish line a mere four seconds ahead of the JMR team’s No. 66 Corvette. This performance was particularly commendable considering it was the JMR’s first season with their upgraded vehicle.

Inter Europol Leger Triumphs in LMP3 Class

In the fiercely contested LMP3 class, Inter Europol Leger (No. 13) emerged triumphant against Forester Racing (No. 29), while Events (No. 23) secured a podium finish by also setting the fastest lap in the category.

Looking Ahead: Fourth Round of the Series

The excitement isn’t slowing down as the series moves toward the fourth round, with another endurance race planned on the 5.39-km track of the Dubai Autodrome. This next competition will be crucial in shaping the overall standings of the Asian championship, as sharp contenders battle for supremacy in an already thrilling season.
