In an exciting turn of events, another Indian name has joined the ranks of millionaires through the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw. Madathil Mohandas, a 69-year-old expat living in Dubai, struck it rich in Series 501 with ticket number 0310. He purchased his winning ticket at the Terminal 3 Arrivals shop on April 28, marking a milestone in his 24-year participation in this thrilling lottery.

Mohandas, who is a father of two and currently works as a purchase manager for Al Jaber Gallery, expressed his gratitude saying, “Thank you very much Dubai Duty Free! I’m very happy with this win.” His victory is particularly notable as he becomes the 250th Indian to win $1 million in this prestigious promotion since its inception in 1999. Indian nationals remain the largest group of ticket purchasers, demonstrating their enthusiasm for Dubai’s Duty Free offerings.

### Celebrating Milestones: The 500th Winner

Following the draw, the celebration continued as a presentation was held for the milestone Millennium Millionaire Series 500. Venugopal Mullacheri, another Indian residing in Ajman, was honored as the 500th winner of the $1 million prize. Upon receiving his ceremonial cheque, Mullacheri shared his disbelief: “It feels so surreal being here today to meet the people behind my amazing win. Once again, thank you so much Dubai Duty Free!”

These significant milestones add a festive spirit to what has become a celebrated event in the expatriate community and beyond.

### Luxury Cars and Motorbikes: The Finest Surprise Draw

In addition to the Millennium Millionaire draw, the excitement extended to the Finest Surprise draw, where two luxury cars and motorbikes were up for grabs. Among the delighted winners was Bishr Shiblaq, a 48-year-old German resident of Dubai, who won a BMW 740i M Sport (Oxide Grey Metallic) with ticket number 1185, purchased online on May 3. This is not Shiblaq’s first brush with fortune; he had previously won a Mercedes Benz S500 in September 2023. “I’m so amazed and happy that I won again with my lucky number, ’18’. Thank you Dubai Duty Free!” he exclaimed.

Another highlight of the draw was Fresewra Fesseha Yohannes, an American residing in the UAE, who won a Mercedes Benz G 63 (Obsidian Black) with ticket number 1470. He purchased this ticket in Concourse A on May 5, and while he couldn’t be reached for immediate comments, his surprise will surely be monumental.

In a delightful twist, 18-year-old Tasnim Aslam Shaikh, a university student from Sharjah, became a winner on her very first ticket purchased. Shaikh won a BMW F 900 R (Racing Blue Metallic) motorbike with ticket number 0330, bought at the Terminal 1 Public Shop on April 22. “I didn’t expect this to happen. I’m just so grateful for this win; thank you, Dubai Duty Free,” she shared, reflecting the unexpected joy that accompanies such windfalls.

### The Thrill of Winning Continues

Lastly, Hashim Hashim Said, a Saudi national based in the UAE, won an Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 (Torque Red) motorbike with ticket number 0980, which he bought in Concourse A on May 2. While he was unavailable for immediate comments, the excitement of winning a premium motorbike is sure to leave him elated.
