The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has activated measures to support travelers affected by the temporary suspension of flights in the United Arab Emirates. This proactive response aims to ensure the safety and welfare of approximately 30,913 individuals currently navigating the challenges posed by ongoing developments in the region.
Coordinated Crisis Response
In light of the situation, ICP confirmed that its teams and operational systems are prepared to handle emergencies. The initiative is part of an integrated national framework working in direct collaboration with various authorities to maintain community security and the continuity of essential services.
The authority has stated that during the current crisis, it is providing necessary support to arriving, departing, and transit passengers stranded at airports throughout the UAE. This effort underscores the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian values in difficult circumstances.
Travel Facilitation Statistics
In collaboration with various relevant entities, ICP has successfully completed travel processing, including visa issuance and clearance, for 30,913 travelers at key airports: Zayed International Airport, Dubai Airports, Sharjah International Airport, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, and Fujairah International Airport.
All essential services, such as hospitality arrangements and accommodations, have been arranged to assist travelers during this unprecedented period until their travel plans are stabilized.
Entry Visa Issuance
ICP also reported the issuance of entry visas to 15,327 travelers at the airports involved. This measure allows these individuals to remain in the country until the resolution of current flight disruptions, ensuring they can live under humane conditions until it is safe for them to depart.
The authority highlighted that all operational and risk management plans have been activated according to high approved standards. Continuous coordination with strategic partners and relevant entities aims to ensure seamless operations at entry points once normal air traffic is resumed.
Ongoing Support for Travelers
Furthermore, the authority reiterated that its business continuity plan has been operational since the onset of the crisis. This includes facilitating the entry for citizens and residents and providing necessary accommodation and hospitality for passengers stranded in the UAE.
In an effort to ensure that public concerns are addressed, ICP advises travelers and the general public to seek updates from official sources. The authority has affirmed the robustness of the UAE’s infrastructure and its ability to respond efficiently to various challenges.
