Three years ago, a 35-year-old man received a five-year restraining order after stalking her, reportedly appearing at her home three times. In light of recent events, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to player safety. The association described the man involved in the latest incident as having “exhibited fixated behavior” and announced that he would be banned from all WTA events pending a threat assessment.
