Emirates Airlines has announced the cancellation of several flights between Dubai and Hong Kong due to the impending threat of Super Typhoon Ragasa. This decision affects travel plans for numerous passengers as the airline prioritizes safety in light of severe weather conditions.

Hong Kong Airport’s Preparations

Hong Kong International Airport is bracing for significant disruptions, with plans to suspend operations for up to 36 hours. This precautionary measure could impact thousands of flights, highlighting the extensive reach of the storm’s effects. The Hong Kong Airport Authority is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary.

Details of Canceled Flights

The cancellations will take place from September 23 to September 25, 2025. In an official statement, Emirates outlined the specific flights affected:

  • September 23:

    • EK382 from Dubai to Hong Kong
    • EK383 from Hong Kong to Dubai
    • EK380 from Dubai to Hong Kong
  • September 24:

    • EK382 from Dubai to Hong Kong
    • EK383 from Hong Kong to Dubai
    • EK381 from Hong Kong to Dubai
    • EK380 from Dubai to Hong Kong
  • September 25:

    • EK381 from Hong Kong to Dubai

Additionally, the shuttle service between Hong Kong and Bangkok will also be suspended on September 23 and 24. Flights EK328 and EK329 from Dubai to Shenzhen and vice versa are also canceled on September 23.

Travel Advisory for Passengers

Emirates has advised passengers connecting through Dubai to final destinations in Hong Kong and Shenzhen that they will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice. The airline has expressed regret for any inconvenience this may cause and encourages travelers to stay informed about updates regarding their flights.
