EaseMyTrip Reports Strong Growth in Q2 FY26

Overview of Financial Performance

EaseMyTrip has announced impressive results for the second quarter of FY26, showcasing notable growth driven by its diverse offerings beyond air travel. The company’s gross booking revenue reached Rs 1,958.7 crore, with operational revenue reported at Rs 118.3 crore. This reflects a robust performance, as evidenced by EBITDA of Rs 12.1 crore and a margin of 9.6%, marking a 76.3% increase sequentially. Furthermore, the total comprehensive income for the quarter stood at Rs 13.5 crore.

Expanding High-Margin Segments

One of the standout aspects of EaseMyTrip’s Q2 performance was the significant growth in its high-margin sectors. Bookings for hotels and holidays surged by an impressive 93.3% year-on-year, increasing from 2.2 lakh to 4.2 lakh. This translates to an average of 4,600 room nights booked daily. Additionally, the trains and buses segment demonstrated steady growth, with a 16% year-on-year increase in bookings, climbing from 2.8 lakh to 3.3 lakh.

International Market Focus

The comprehensive growth strategy also included a strong focus on international markets, particularly in Dubai. The company’s operations there recorded gross booking revenue of Rs 361.7 crore, a remarkable rise of 109.7% compared to Rs 172.5 crore in the prior year. This surge is attributed to increased outbound demand, enhanced local partnerships, and a systematic scale-up of operations in this key market.

Nishant Pitti, the Chairman and Managing Director of EaseMyTrip, emphasized the significance of these results, stating that they validate the company’s strategy to broaden its reach beyond traditional air travel and strengthen its presence in emerging markets. Pitti noted that the hotel and packages segment has been a crucial growth driver, reflecting the company’s diversified approach.

EMT 2.0 Strategy and Growth Initiatives

In line with its plans, EaseMyTrip is executing its EMT 2.0 strategy, which aims to establish a comprehensive travel ecosystem that includes wellness, mobility, and other high-margin sectors. This initiative is designed to create multiple revenue streams and bolster the company’s resilience against market fluctuations.

During this quarter, EaseMyTrip also made strategic acquisitions to expand its operational footprint. This included acquiring a 50% stake in Three Falcons Notting Hill Limited, which owns The Knight of Notting Hill, a luxurious boutique hotel in London, marking its entry into the premium international hospitality market. Additionally, the company acquired 100% of AB Finance Private Limited, which manages a premium commercial property in Gurugram, thereby enhancing its operational capabilities.

Partnership Expansions

The quarter also witnessed a significant expansion of EaseMyTrip’s partnership portfolio. A notable collaboration with Hoi led to the introduction of India’s first smart kiosk rewards program at airports, providing travelers with instant coupons and monthly vouchers. Furthermore, the company joined forces with MoEngage to enhance customer retention and value through real-time, personalized engagement.

Marketing Campaigns and Cultural Engagement

To stimulate demand in the domestic arena, EaseMyTrip launched two significant marketing initiatives: the Azadi Mega Sale during Independence Day and the Dussehra Sale in September. These campaigns offered substantial discounts on flights, hotels, buses, and holiday packages in collaboration with major banks and airlines.

EaseMyTrip also made a cultural connection by co-presenting the Filmfare Awards Punjabi 2025, which marked its return after eight years. This partnership not only increased the company’s brand visibility but also aligned it with lifestyle and cultural narratives, reinforcing its presence in the community.

Leadership Update and Global Reach

In addition to these developments, a key leadership announcement was made with Nishant Pitti officially assuming the role of Chairman and Managing Director. This change is expected to provide strategic continuity as the company continues to scale its operations globally.

Today, EaseMyTrip has a presence in 10 countries and serves over 30 million customers. The company supports more than 72,000 registered travel agents and collaborates with upwards of 400 domestic and international airlines. With an expansive hotel inventory of 2.9 million properties worldwide and a workforce of 1,700 employees, the firm maintains a remarkable 94% repeat transaction rate.

Looking forward, EaseMyTrip plans to continue its quest for international expansion and leverage data-driven strategies to enhance customer experiences. Through its comprehensive travel solutions, the company aims to seize emerging opportunities across hospitality, mobility, and global travel services, positioning itself as a leader in the travel technology space.
