Dubai, UAE: Pioneering the Future of Urban Mobility with a Strategic Ride-Hailing Alliance

In an exciting development that promises to reshape urban mobility in the UAE, the Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has joined forces with its strategic partner Bolt, and the homegrown UAE ride-hailing app, Zed, through an alliance with Kabi by Al Ghurair. This partnership is designed to elevate the ride-hailing experience for both residents and visitors in Dubai, combining extensive taxi fleets with innovative technology platforms.

A Milestone Partnership for Smarter Transport

The alliance was officially formalized in a signing ceremony between Mr. Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, and Mr. Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Kabi, Al Ghurair Mobility. This collaboration marks a crucial step in Dubai’s ongoing pursuit of smarter, more accessible, and customer-centric transportation solutions. By integrating DTC’s 6,200 taxis and Kabi’s 3,680 taxis onto Bolt and Zed’s e-hailing platforms, the partnership aims to enhance service availability, reduce waiting times, and boost overall efficiency for users.

Seamless Integration and Capacity Expansion

One of the key benefits of this partnership is the seamless merging of two of Dubai’s largest taxi fleets onto popular digital ride-hailing apps. Customers using Bolt or Zed will now have access to a significantly larger pool of taxis, resulting in faster pickups and improved service continuity. As both companies expand their fleets, new vehicles will be automatically added to the platforms, ensuring that capacity grows in tandem with the increasing demand for ride-hailing services in Dubai.

Alignment with Dubai’s Vision for Smart Mobility

This initiative aligns closely with the Dubai Government’s ambitious goal to convert 80% of all taxi trips to e-hailing services. It supports the broader objectives set by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to promote smart mobility and sustainability across the city. Dubai’s taxi sector has shown promising growth, with a reported 7% increase in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, underscoring strong demand and resilience within this vital sector.

Leadership Insights on the Strategic Alliance

Mr. Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, emphasized his commitment to innovation and customer experience, highlighting the partnership as a vital step towards embedding taxis more deeply within Dubai’s digital ride-hailing ecosystem. He pointed out that the alliance supports the government’s vision and complements the sector’s recent growth momentum.

Mr. Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Kabi, Al Ghurair Mobility, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership’s potential to meet the evolving needs of Dubai’s residents and visitors. By leveraging combined expertise and advanced technologies, the collaboration aims to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability, contributing significantly to the future of ride-hailing within the UAE.

Dubai’s Position as a Smart Mobility Leader

With this strategic partnership, Dubai continues to solidify its status as a global front-runner in smart mobility solutions. The integration of extensive taxi fleets into advanced e-hailing platforms underscores how technology and innovation are central to delivering smoother, faster, and more sustainable transportation experiences in this dynamic city.
