As the joyous occasion of Eid Al Adha approaches, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has set forth the operating hours for various services during this festive period, which aligns with the Hijri year 1446H (2025). This detailed guide aims to provide residents and visitors with everything they need to know regarding public transport, customer service centers, and parking availability during the holiday.
Customer Happiness Centres
This Eid, all Customer Happiness Centres will be closed to allow staff to celebrate with their families. However, in a bid to assist those in need of transport services during this time, the Smart Customer Happiness Centres located at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and the RTA Head Office will continue to operate around the clock. Patrons can visit these centres for any transportation-related inquiries or needs at any hour.
Technical Testing Centres
For those requiring vehicle technical testing services, it’s essential to note that service provider centres will close their doors from June 5 to 7, 2025. Nonetheless, select centres including Tasjeel Al Tawar, AutoPro Al Mankhool, Tasjeel Al Awir, Al Yalayis, and Shamil Muhaisnah will resume operations on Sunday, June 8. From this day forward, all services and transaction processing at various testing centres will revert to their regular hours commencing Monday, June 9, 2025.
Dubai Metro Services
Getting around the city via the Dubai Metro will be more accessible during the holiday. Both the Red and Green Lines will operate from Wednesday, June 4 to Saturday, June 7, 2025, with trains running from 5:00 AM until 1:00 AM the following day. This extended schedule allows for greater convenience for those participating in Eid celebrations and events across the city.
Tram Services
Similar to the metro, tram services will also be available to residents and tourists alike. Tram operations will run daily from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM (the following day) between June 4 and 7. This frequent service is perfect for those looking to explore various attractions and destinations in Dubai during the festive period.
Public Buses (Dubai Bus)
Commuters relying on public buses will see holiday schedules provided conveniently through the S’hail app. It’s noteworthy that Route E100 will be suspended from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from June 4 to 8, 2025. However, travelers can opt for the E101 route from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi, and an effective Route E102 will run directly from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, bypassing certain stops.
Marine Transport
For those who prefer a scenic route, schedules for marine transport services are readily available on the official RTA website. This aspect of Dubai’s transport network renders a unique way to enjoy the city’s inspiring skyline and beautiful coastline during the festive holiday.
Public Parking
Parking enthusiasts can breathe a sigh of relief, as parking will be free across all public zones between June 5 and 8, 2025. This does not include multi-level parking terminals, where normal charges will still apply. It’s a great opportunity for residents and visitors alike to explore the city without the added worry of parking fees.
