Eid Al Adha 2025: Dubai’s Transport and Parking Updates
As the joyous occasion of Eid Al Adha approaches in 2025, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai is gearing up to accommodate the festive influx of residents and visitors. From June 4 to June 8, adjustments to public transport services and free parking initiatives are set to enhance the holiday experience for everyone in the city.
Free Parking Across Dubai
In a festive gesture, the RTA has announced that public parking in Dubai will be completely free from June 5 to June 8. This initiative is part of the city’s celebration of Eid and aims to ease the parking burden for families and friends gathering to celebrate together. However, it’s important to note that the multi-level parking terminals will still require payment during this time.
Extended Metro Services
To further support commuters and festival-goers, the Dubai Metro will operate on extended hours. From June 4 to June 7, both the Red and Green Lines will serve passengers from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM the following day. This extension ensures that travelers can partake in various Eid festivities without worrying about transportation.
Tram and Bus Schedules
Dubai Tram services will mirror the same extended hours as the Metro, running from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM. For those using buses, the RTA has advised residents to check the S’hail app for the latest service timings, ensuring everyone remains informed about potential changes.
Significant amendments to intercity bus routes have also been announced:
- Route E100 (Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Abu Dhabi) will not operate from June 4 to June 8.
- Passengers can utilize Route E101 instead, which connects Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi.
- Route E102 will run directly from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Zayed International Airport, bypassing Ibn Battuta and Musaffah.
These alterations are intended to facilitate more efficient travel during the busy holiday period.
Customer Happiness Centers and Testing Services
In line with the holiday schedule, all RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed during Eid. Nevertheless, the Smart Customer Happiness Centres at select locations will remain operational 24/7. These key locations include:
- Umm Ramool
- Deira
- Al Barsha
- RTA Head Office
Following the holiday, from June 8, technical testing services will resume at select centers, including Tasjeel Al-Tawar, AutoPro Al-Mankhool, Tasjeel Al-Awir, Al Yalayis, and Shamil Muhaisnah. Full service offerings, encompassing transaction processing and vehicle testing, will be available starting June 9.
Commemorating the Festivities
These holiday-oriented adjustments from the RTA provide a glimpse into how Dubai prioritizes convenience and accessibility for residents and visitors during significant occasions. The extended services not only alleviate travel concerns but also contribute to the festive spirit, allowing people to spend quality time with loved ones and immerse themselves in the celebratory atmosphere of Eid Al Adha.
As the city comes alive with events, gatherings, and spiritual reflection, these transportation updates embrace the essence of community connectivity during one of the most cherished times in the Islamic calendar.
This engaging infrastructure and service initiative exemplifies Dubai’s commitment to enhancing the holiday experience, ensuring that everyone can partake in the joyous celebrations without hindrance.
