### A Hub of Innovation: Dubai’s Manufacturing Sector

Dubai is poised to showcase its thriving manufacturing industry at the highly anticipated ‘Make it in the Emirates’ event scheduled from May 19 to 22, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Recognized as a cornerstone of the UAE’s industrial landscape, this forum brings together key stakeholders—including government entities, investors, and manufacturers—to propel the nation’s industrial and export aspirations forward.

### Dubai’s Economic Vision

The event aligns with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which aims to position the emirate as a premier destination for avant-garde industrial investment. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) is leading this initiative, underscoring a commitment to fortifying the emirate’s manufacturing capabilities.

### The Dubai Pavilion: A Convergence of Ideas and Opportunities

Central to this event is the Dubai Pavilion, designed as a dynamic hub for industrial growth facilitators, including Dubai Industrial City, National Industries Park, and Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority. This collaborative effort aims to provide current manufacturers and prospective investors with direct access to critical insights, essential resources, and unique opportunities for leveraging Dubai’s favorable industrial environment.

### Economic Contributions of the Manufacturing Sector

Dubai’s manufacturing sector is a vital contributor to its economic development. In the first three quarters of 2024 alone, this sector generated a substantial GDP of AED 28.3 billion. A myriad of government initiatives is in place to enhance the sector’s global competitiveness while fostering sustainable growth. The emphasis on advanced manufacturing technologies is critical in meeting ever-evolving market demands.

### Empowering Manufacturers with Comprehensive Support

DET’s initiatives will play a pivotal role during the event, especially the Export Assistance Programme (EAP). This initiative is specifically designed to incentivize Dubai-based companies to broaden their export horizons, offering essential support to qualifying small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through a robust global network.

### Spotlight on Key Programs

Additionally, DET will highlight the Elite Buyer Programme, which envisions Dubai as a leading global sourcing destination for high-demand products. The pavilion will also showcase the Industry Friendly Power Policy, an integral part of the D33 Agenda, focused on sustainable and cost-effective energy consumption within manufacturing and beyond. This policy includes benefits like a 25% reduction in connection fees, interest-free credit options, and support for onsite renewable energy projects—signifying Dubai’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions.

### A Record Year for Foreign Direct Investment

The year 2024 has been remarkable for Dubai’s economic landscape, evidenced by attracting AED 52.3 billion (approximately USD 14.2 billion) in foreign direct investment (FDI), marking a whopping 33.2% increase from the previous year. With 1,117 Greenfield FDI projects and 1,826 announced projects, the emirate not only created over 58,000 new jobs but also saw its manufacturing sector thrive, drawing AED 5.767 billion (USD 1.571 billion) in FDI—more than double what was recorded in 2023.

### A Platform for Industrial Advancement

‘Make it in the Emirates’ serves as a crucial platform for accelerating the growth of the UAE’s manufacturing sector, which is essential for fostering innovation and investment. As the nation embarks on its journey of economic diversification, Dubai remains resolute in its support for the evolution of the industrial sector, ensuring it meets international standards while significantly contributing to the overall economic prosperity of the region.

### Event Details

The Dubai Pavilion will be prominently featured at stand A-65 within the ADNEC Centre, providing a space for interaction and collaboration among key industry players. For further information about the event, visit [www.miite.ae](http://www.miite.ae).
