Dubai Designates Family-Only Beaches and Launches Eid Al Fitr Celebrations with Live Performances at Major Parks

Dubai Municipality has announced the designation of several public beaches as family-only zones for the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holiday. This initiative aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for families during the festive period.

The selected beaches include Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2 (which encompasses the night beach), Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1 (also featuring a night beach), and Umm Suqeim 2. These locations will serve as welcoming spaces for families to celebrate the holiday together.

Eid Activities in Major Parks

In conjunction with the Eid celebrations, Dubai’s major parks will host a variety of evening activities as part of the Season of Wulfa. Mushrif National Park, Al Mamzar Park, and Zabeel Park will feature live performances, traditional sweet-making demonstrations, and curated giveaways. These events are scheduled to take place from 4 PM to 7 PM on the first two days of the Eid holiday.

Nad Al Sheba Park will introduce a unique Eid celebration for the first time, featuring workshops and appearances by popular characters Modhesh and Dana. This event will occur on the third day of Eid, also from 4 PM to 7 PM, and will include traditional Harbiya performances alongside various cultural and heritage activities.

Children’s City will further enhance the festive atmosphere by organizing Eid Al Fitr celebrations on the first and third days of Eid, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Activities will include games, competitions, and the distribution of gifts and sweets, all designed to foster participation and a sense of community.

Expanded Inspection Campaigns

In preparation for the Eid Al Fitr holiday, Dubai Municipality has implemented an expanded inspection plan. This initiative includes intensive inspection tours and field campaigns across various establishments within the emirate. The primary goal is to ensure the safety of food and consumer products, verify compliance with public health and safety standards, and maintain cleanliness throughout the city.

The Municipality emphasized its commitment to enhancing the efficiency of Dubai’s health and food control system. These efforts are part of a proactive approach to consumer protection, particularly during peak seasons characterized by increased commercial activity and foot traffic in markets and tourist destinations.

Dubai Municipality teams have conducted thorough inspections of food establishments at event venues and tourist attractions, covering 154 locations. This includes food outlets in shopping mall food courts, ensuring adherence to health requirements related to food preparation, storage, transportation, and display.

Food Safety and Health Standards

As part of the comprehensive inspection plan, tours have also targeted key markets and vital areas. This includes 50 food establishments at the Waterfront Market and 72 establishments at the Dubai Food Hub, in addition to outlets in shopping centers and tourist attractions. The inspections focus on products commonly associated with the Eid season, such as nuts, sweets, chocolates, baked goods, and fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring their safety and compliance with approved standards.

In addition to food safety, the Municipality is conducting inspections across various sectors that experience heightened demand during Eid. This includes approximately 40 hotels, 300 men’s barber shops, 100 women’s beauty centers, 30 fitness centers, over 150 shisha cafés, 40 entertainment venues, and 25 establishments, including residential buildings and cinemas.

Inspection efforts are concentrated on verifying general hygiene practices, sterilization of tools, safety of consumer products, indoor air quality, water systems, and the safety of amusement rides prior to public use. A specialized campaign on the safety of henna preparation is also being implemented, which includes sampling and laboratory testing.

Digital Inspection Systems

Dubai Municipality continues to operate around the clock at the emirate’s customs ports through specialized duty teams. These teams monitor imported food consignments to ensure compliance with technical standards before they enter the market.

Inspection operations are supported by digital systems and smart solutions that enhance procedural efficiency and field performance. Food consignments are tracked electronically and analyzed using a risk-based data methodology, allowing for targeted inspections of higher-priority activities and the rapid issuance of reports to facilitate quick response and coordination.

Safety and Entertainment for Workers

To ensure the health and safety of all community members, Dubai Municipality is conducting inspection campaigns across over 700 labor accommodations in Muhaisnah, Al Quoz, and the Jebel Ali sector. The Municipality is also monitoring three community labor markets that collectively receive around 15,000 workers daily. Three Eid Al Fitr events will be organized at these locations, targeting approximately 30,000 workers.

Cleanliness Plans and Programs

Dubai Municipality has prepared a comprehensive plan to manage public cleanliness operations and community services related to sustainable waste management during the Eid Al Fitr holiday. This plan encompasses technical and operational workstreams, as well as supervisory and field efforts to ensure cleanliness in roads, highways, residential areas, markets, public beaches, waterways, and public facilities.

A total of 2,876 sanitation engineers, 280 supervisory staff, and 785 vehicles and equipment have been mobilized to support the Municipality’s strategic objective of making Dubai more sustainable, attractive, and livable.

Reporting Complaints

Dubai Municipality encourages community members to adhere to proper health practices when purchasing food, verify product validity, and ensure appropriate storage. Food establishments are urged to comply fully with approved health requirements. Observations or complaints can be reported through the Dubai 24/7 app or via the 24-hour contact center at 800900.
