Beyti Strengthens National Health Efforts with Launch of First School Nutrition Program for Children

Collaboration with Educate Me Foundation

Cairo: Beyti, a subsidiary of Almarai, has signed a cooperation protocol with the “Educate Me” Foundation to launch its inaugural school nutrition program, titled “كوباية في اليوم.. بطل كل يوم” (“A Glass a Day, a Hero Every Day”). This initiative, conducted under the scientific supervision of the Egyptian Pediatric Association (EPA), is specifically designed for children aged 7 to 10 years. The program aims to foster lifelong healthy habits through a combination of direct nutritional access and an interactive educational curriculum.

The signing ceremony featured prominent figures, including Dr. Ahmed El Saeed, Chairman of the Egyptian Pediatric Association, and Dr. Sherif Abd El Aal, CEO of the EPA. Also present were Mr. Chris Abboud, General Manager of Beyti, and Ms. Engy Fahmy, Development & Communications Director at the Educate Me Foundation, along with other distinguished members of the organization.

Addressing Malnutrition Challenges

This program is a flagship initiative that aligns with Beyti’s mission of “nourishing families through every sip, spoon, and bite.” It directly supports national efforts to enhance student health and combat malnutrition-related issues such as stunting and anemia. This commitment is in line with Egypt’s human development goals, contributing to a healthier foundation for the nation’s youth.

By the end of 2026, the program aims to positively impact the health of 10,000 students and their mothers across Cairo, Giza, and El Beheira. Central to this initiative is the provision of essential nutrients through Beyti’s high-quality dairy products. The program will supply students with milk and yogurt, ensuring they receive the necessary protein and vitamins for cognitive and physical development. Educational tools will also be provided to help children understand the science behind growth.

Statements from Leadership

Chris Abboud, General Manager of Beyti, emphasized the company’s commitment to nourishing families. He stated that this initiative extends beyond product offerings, defining Beyti’s role in supporting student health and tackling critical issues like stunting and anemia. Abboud highlighted the company’s responsibility to reach into homes, delivering high-quality products that embody their motto: “Quality You Can Trust.”

He noted that partnerships with organizations like Educate Me and the Egyptian Pediatric Association enable Beyti to offer science-based nutritional solutions that provide children with a healthy start in life. Abboud expressed optimism about expanding the program nationwide, aiming to reach more children and families in the future.

Dr. Ahmed El Saeed, Chairman of the EPA, affirmed that the program responds directly to Egypt’s national health priorities. He stated that the alignment of the scientific curriculum with the state’s vision to eradicate malnutrition creates a strong synergy between quality nutrition and medical awareness. This approach aims to protect the physical and cognitive growth of children, supporting the national goal of developing a healthier generation.

Christine Safwat, CEO of Educate Me, expressed pride in the partnership with Beyti. She noted that the program empowers children with the knowledge and habits necessary for healthier food choices from an early age. Safwat emphasized the connection between students’ learning and well-being, stating that the initiative aims to raise awareness about balanced nutrition and healthy eating habits in an engaging manner.

Future Expansion Plans

The “كوباية في اليوم.. بطل كل يوم” program is set to expand throughout the fall semester of 2026. This initiative reinforces Beyti’s commitment to enhancing its societal role and improving healthcare and nutrition standards for children across Egypt, ensuring a lasting positive impact on the health of future leaders.
