The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has published its monthly report for August 2025, shedding light on the punctuality performance of Saudi airports and national airlines. This report is crucial for travelers, offering a glimpse into how well flights adhere to their scheduled times, specifically focusing on departures and arrivals within a 15-minute window.

The report reveals commendable performance across several key airports in the Kingdom.

International Airports

In the category of international airports that handle over 15 million passengers annually, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh achieved an impressive 82% compliance rate. This statistic underscores the airport’s commitment to maintaining timely operations.

Mid-Sized Airports

For airports serving between 5 to 15 million passengers, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam led the pack with an 83% compliance rate. Meanwhile, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Tabuk excelled in the two to five million passenger category, boasting a remarkable 85% compliance rate.

Smaller Airports

Among smaller airports, AlUla International Airport stood out with an exceptional 95% compliance rate in the under two million passengers category. This performance highlights the airport’s efficiency and dedication to timely service.

Domestic Airport Performance

In the domestic segment, King Saud bin Abdulaziz Airport in Al-Baha achieved the highest ranking, recording a stellar 98% compliance rate. This figure reflects the airport’s effectiveness in managing domestic flights and ensuring that passengers reach their destinations on time.

Airline Performance Metrics

The report also provides insights into the punctuality of national airlines. Saudia Airlines reported an 82% compliance rate for arrivals and 81% for departures, demonstrating solid performance. Flynas recorded 77% for arrivals and 82% for departures, while flyadeal emerged as the top performer in this segment, achieving 83% for arrivals and 87% for departures.

Key Routes and Their Compliance Rates

GACA’s report also highlights punctuality on significant domestic and international routes. Notably, the Tabuk–Riyadh domestic service and the Riyadh–Amman international route each demonstrated a commendable 92% compliance rate in August. These figures indicate a strong commitment to maintaining timely services on critical travel routes.
