The footage captures not just her discomfort but that of her young son and many other passengers, all visibly sweating profusely inside the aircraft.

As the video unfolds, the scene paints a vivid picture of desperation. Passengers can be seen using safety instruction cards to fan themselves in an attempt to escape the sweltering heat. Numerous individuals repeatedly press their call buttons in vain, seeking assistance from the crew. “It’s 12:30 AM and there’s no accountability. Just look at this situation,” Sethi exclaims in the clip, highlighting the severity of the circumstances.

Airline Response to the Situation

In response to the growing concerns, the airline released a statement addressing the situation. They acknowledged that while the aircraft’s air conditioning system was functioning normally, the extended ground time with the doors open in Dubai’s scorching heat compromised the cooling effect. The statement sought to clarify that the discomfort experienced by passengers was not a result of mechanical failure, but rather environmental conditions outside of their control.

Despite this explanation, Sethi’s video quickly gained traction online, leading to widespread criticism of the airline’s response. Calls for accountability and improved service have emerged, with many passengers expressing that their expectations were not met during the flight.

Demand for Boycott of Air India

The fallout from Sethi’s video has been swift and fierce. Ongoing Safety Measures After the Crash

In a related development, Air India Express announced a delay affecting a Kolkata-to-Hindon flight due to a technical snag. This incident is occurring concurrently with mandated safety inspections by the DGCA on Air India’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, following the aforementioned fatal crash. These safety checks have resulted in delays for many passengers as the airline ensures the safety of its aircraft.

So far, nine out of a total of 33 aircraft have undergone inspection, with additional flights being rescheduled or passengers offered refunds. The rigorous checks underscore the airline’s commitment to operational safety but also pose challenges for traveling customers, who may find themselves navigating uncertain flight schedules during this turbulent time.
