Celebrating Academic Excellence at RIT Dubai’s 14th Graduation Ceremony

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, RIT Dubai recently celebrated a significant milestone at its 14th graduation ceremony. Situated in Dubai Silicon Oasis, a hub for innovation and knowledge, the event marked the graduation of over 300 students from 15 bachelor’s and master’s programs. Since its inception in 2010, RIT Dubai has successfully graduated more than 2,100 students, solidifying its role as an academic leader within the region.

The graduating cohort of this year specialized in eight undergraduate programs and seven postgraduate programs that are geared toward future-oriented careers. The undergraduate programs included disciplines such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and cybersecurity, while postgraduate offerings encompassed areas like data analysis and smart cities. Campus Expansion and Future Growth

The expansion of RIT Dubai’s campus is another key development, as approved by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed. The forthcoming project represents an investment of AED 313 million and will substantially increase the university’s capacity to approximately 4,500 students. With the inclusion of new academic and administrative buildings, this development will enhance RIT’s role as a global hub for education and research.

The expansion, divided into two phases with completion dates in 2027 and 2028, aims to elevate the total investment in infrastructure to AED 520 million since the university’s establishment. This provides a solid foundation for the enhanced delivery of education and research.

As a proud branch of the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, RIT Dubai is dedicated to maintaining nearly 200 years of academic excellence.
