Abu Dhabi Officials Strengthen Support for Attack Victims

A high-ranking delegation from Abu Dhabi conducted a visit to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City to assess the condition of patients injured in missile and drone attacks that recently targeted the UAE. The visit underscored the commitment of local leaders to ensure ongoing support and effective healthcare for those affected.

The delegation included major figures such as Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and chairman of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team; Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi; and several other healthcare officials. They engaged in discussions regarding patient treatment plans and received updates on the coordination of healthcare services.

The officials were briefed on the current cases and expressed reassurance regarding the emirate’s healthcare capabilities. Emphasizing the importance of patient safety, Major General Al Muhairi praised the healthcare teams’ coordination and readiness, reaffirming that all necessary medical attention is being provided and that routine services maintain continuity.

Al Mansoori highlighted that the healthcare system is equipped for such crises, with strategies in place for continuous monitoring of patients. This process is facilitated through the Unified Medical Operations Command Centre (UMOC), which serves to ensure timely and effective care.

This visit concluded with a commitment to ongoing medical follow-up and a renewed focus on enhancing support for frontline healthcare providers. The leaders reiterated Abu Dhabi’s dedication to community welfare and its ability to respond to emergencies while maintaining high standards in healthcare delivery.
