ForsaTEK 2025: Shaping the Future of Aviation Through Innovation

The Emirates Group recently wrapped up its annual innovation and technology forum, ForsaTEK, held in the vibrant city of Dubai. This forum serves as a cornerstone for driving innovation across various departments and businesses within the Group. This year’s event showcased how cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are poised to reshape the aviation landscape, emphasizing the crucial role of human factors in the successful adoption of these innovations.

A Prominent Opening

The event was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the esteemed Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group. In his opening remarks, he reiterated the organization’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration. “Building on the success of the first two editions, ForsaTEK 2025 underpins the Emirates Group’s continued commitment to anchoring the next wave of innovations within our business,” he stated. His Highness emphasized the importance of scaling existing innovations, supporting startups, and fostering partnerships to propel the Group’s digital future.

Another standout was the JeffCAN immersive media chair, which integrates sensory design and technology to engage neurodiverse passengers. The Airbus Accessible and Inclusive cabin, featuring custom lavatories and personal wheelchairs, highlighted the commitment to accommodating passengers with reduced mobility.

Startup Engagement and the Afkar App

At ForsaTEK’s pitch zone, 13 startups presented their innovative concepts to a panel comprising VIPs, investors, and tech industry experts. This engagement not only enhances the entrepreneurial ecosystem within aviation but also opens doors for collaborations that could redefine industry standards.

A significant highlight of the event was the launch of the Afkar app. Meaning “ideas” in Arabic, this platform empowers employees across the Emirates Group to contribute to innovation, no matter their role.
