Lou Agha’s Exacting Diseno Technical Services is rapidly transforming the sound experience in Dubai’s elite bars and lounges, thanks to its partnerships with brands like Martin Audio. Their reputation for installing high-quality sound systems is earning them recognition throughout the region. Agha was brought into the Coco project through a consultant, and when the client expressed familiarity with Martin Audio, it solidified the partnership.
Sound System Selection Process
Agha’s approach began with a demo at PRO LAB, where he showcased various Martin Audio models, including the CDD series and FlexPoint speakers. The client was impressed with the unparalleled sound quality, leading Agha to recommend adaptations suited for the venue’s specific needs. For Coco’s low-ceilinged interior, he proposed the CDD6 speakers, while the outdoor Shisha Lounge would feature 14 Blackline X8 units, designed to support live performances and DJ sets seamlessly.
Sophisticated Sound Design
The venue is divided into nine distinct zones, all interconnected via a Dante network backbone. To create a multilayered audio experience, Agha integrated 14 Blackline X8s with six Martin Audio SX112 subwoofers. In addition, six refurbished ADORN A55 speakers complement the setup, ensuring a rich sound that extends even to the bathrooms, an often-overlooked aspect of venue audio systems. For this, Agha chose ADORN ACS 40TS ultra-compact ceiling speakers, offering high-quality sound even in less obvious locations.

Coco Lounge features non-smoking areas designed for intimate gatherings, equipped with a combination of CDD6 speakers and SX110 subwoofers tailored to maintain the venue’s aesthetics while delivering high-quality audio. The smoking areas are also carefully curated: each zone benefits from the same superior sound quality without overwhelming the design and ambiance of the lounge. This meticulous planning ensures that every corner of Coco delivers an unforgettable auditory experience.
Background Music and Atmosphere
During the day, Coco curates a stylish background ambience using a Spotify playlist, meticulously crafted by one of their DJs. The playlist predominantly features popular Afro Beats, aligning with Coco’s upscale vibe. The audio routing and digital signal processing are managed via a Xilica FR1, which ensures crystal-clear sound throughout the venue, allowing different zones to be controlled independently while maintaining a cohesive auditory experience.
