Recent Arrivals at Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Originating from a panhandle aquarium embroiled in an investigation following the tragic deaths of five dolphins, these creatures—named Doris, Kitana, Dagny, and Wren—are estimated to be 28, 18, 10, and 5 years old, respectively. Attorney General James Uthmeier has announced criminal investigations into the facility and its parent company, Mexico-based The Dolphin Company. The investigations arose from concerns regarding the health and living conditions of the dolphins, as evidenced by the deaths of five dolphins over a six-month period, some attributed to poor facility conditions, including algae-filled tanks and inadequate staffing.
