RTA to host inaugural Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference 2026

Published:

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the inaugural Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference 2026 (EV World 2026), set to take place from November 10-12, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event aims to promote sustainable transport solutions and reinforce Dubai’s status as a global hub for mobility innovation.

Under the theme “Driving a Smart and Sustainable Mobility Future,” EV World 2026 aligns with Dubai’s vision to enhance its transport system’s sustainability. The conference will feature over 300 local and international companies, authorities, and organizations, alongside more than 10,000 industry specialists and visitors. Attendees can expect to hear from 70 speakers who are experts in sustainable transport.

The RTA’s initiative reflects its commitment to advancing green mobility solutions and preparing for future transport trends. The authority aims to achieve a complete transition to zero-emission public transport by 2050, a goal that is already being supported by significant progress in the local taxi and limousine fleet. Currently, over 72 percent of these vehicles are environmentally friendly hybrids, while electric vehicles make up 19 percent of the fleet, surpassing the 2026 target.

In addition to the taxi sector, the RTA is actively replacing conventional buses with electric models to adapt to the region’s climate. The marine transport sector is also undergoing a transformation, with a shift towards electric and hydrogen-powered propulsion systems to minimize carbon emissions and noise pollution.

Furthermore, the RTA is expanding its efforts in testing and deploying autonomous electric vehicles in partnership with leading global companies. This includes the development of advanced fast-charging infrastructure across public parking areas and major transport facilities, ensuring that the necessary support systems are in place for the growing electric vehicle market.

As the event approaches, the RTA is poised to showcase the latest innovations in electric vehicle manufacturing and operations, including battery management systems, fast-charging stations, smart infrastructure, unmanned aerial vehicles, and AI software. This comprehensive approach not only highlights the RTA’s proactive stance on sustainable transport but also sets the stage for future advancements in the sector.
