Ajman Unveils $490 Million AM30x30 Agenda to Enhance Urban Infrastructure and Community Wellbeing
Ajman Municipality has launched its ambitious AM30x30 agenda, which encompasses 30 projects across five strategic packages, with a total investment of AED1.8 billion (approximately $490 million). This initiative aims to transform the emirate’s urban landscape and align with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030.
Comprehensive Urban Roadmap
The AM30x30 agenda serves as a comprehensive urban roadmap designed to enhance the prosperity, attractiveness, and overall beauty of Ajman. The implementation of these 30 urban development projects underscores Ajman’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure. Sheikh Ammar noted that these projects are designed to improve quality of life, increase service efficiency, and foster economic and social growth. The agenda places people at the center of development, focusing on modern road networks, sustainable mobility, and the expansion of green spaces and community facilities.
The Department aims to increase the average implementation of new roads by 43% from 2026 to 2030, along with a 33% increase in cycling tracks by 2030. This aligns with the emirate’s strategic direction to create an integrated and sustainable mobility system.
Breakdown of the Five Strategic Packages
The AM30x30 agenda consists of five main packages, each targeting specific areas of development:
Package One: Vital Roads and Infrastructure
This package includes six major projects aimed at enhancing the Al Zorah area and key streets. Projects include the development of the Al Zorah Roundabout, the Chinese Market Roundabout, and Al Humaidiya Street (Phase One). Additionally, it encompasses the completion of Phase Three of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Street, the development of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Street, and the construction of pedestrian bridges on Rashid bin Abdulaziz Street.
Package Two: Internal Road Development
This package focuses on eight projects for the development of internal roads. Key projects include the Al Rashidiya roads (Phase One), road paving in the Masfout and Al Manama areas, and additional developments in Al Rawdah, Al Mowaihat, Al Yasmeen, and Al Helio. It also includes a stormwater drainage station on Sheikh Zayed Street.
Package Three: Road Enhancements
Package Three targets four main projects, including the development of Al Tallah Street (Phase Two), road improvements in the Al Helio area, and the construction of roads in the Mohammed bin Zayed residential area. It also involves the widening and maintenance of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street.
Package Four: Cycling Infrastructure
This package aims to implement four projects, focusing on expanding cycling tracks in Ajman city and the cities of Masfout and Al Manama, totaling 16 km. It also includes the Al Uqdah Walkway project.
Package Five: Green Spaces and Community Facilities
The final package is dedicated to enhancing the green footprint and urban landscape. It includes the construction of public parks and community spaces covering 330,000 square meters in various areas, such as Mohammed bin Zayed 2, Masfout, and Al Muntazi. These projects aim to create integrated urban environments that support environmental sustainability and enhance community wellbeing.
