Strategic Alliance Accelerates Zero-Carbon Smart Transportation Across Hong Kong and Southeast Asia
Major Developments at SNEC 2026
HONG KONG SAR – The 19th International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Exhibition & Conference (SNEC 2026) took place from June 3 to 5, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. This significant event attracted over 3,000 exhibitors from 95 countries, establishing itself as the largest and most influential gathering for the photovoltaic and energy storage sectors in Asia and beyond.
During the exhibition, a delegation comprising Mr. Yiu Wang Lee, Chairman of Wing Lee Development Construction Holdings Limited; Mr. Cai Huihui, General Manager of Wing Kai New Energy Technology Co., Limited; Mr. Wang Yi, Key Account Manager of QIJI Energy; Mr. Xu Jun, Overseas Energy Storage Commercial Director of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL); and Mr. You Yuxian, ASEAN Regional Energy Storage Sales Director of CATL, visited the C&D Hi-Tech booth. The group engaged in extensive discussions with Mr. Zhan Shengli, General Manager of C&D Hi-Tech, focusing on battery swapping station projects in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. This collaboration culminated in the signing of a Strategic Cooperation Agreement.
Addressing Industry Challenges
The newly formed alliance aims to tackle pressing issues in overseas markets, specifically concerning regulatory compliance, engineering infrastructure, and supply chain coordination. This partnership integrates QIJI Energy’s advanced battery swapping solutions with Wing Kai New Energy’s localized infrastructure capabilities in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, alongside C&D Hi-Tech’s global resource allocation strengths. The collaboration shifts the focus from individual project development to creating a mutually beneficial ecosystem, enhancing the efficiency of green energy delivery across Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia. This initiative sets a new standard for regional zero-carbon smart transportation.
Wing Kai New Energy’s Commitment to Sustainable Solutions
Wing Kai New Energy, a subsidiary of Wing Lee, has established a strong presence in Hong Kong while expanding its reach globally. The company is dedicated to providing sustainable clean energy solutions. It aims to address critical challenges in the Greater Bay Area and Southeast Asian markets, where fluctuating energy prices have increased cost pressures on logistics and distribution enterprises. Looking ahead, Wing Kai New Energy plans to concentrate on urban distribution logistics through battery swapping initiatives. The company intends to integrate site resources, infrastructure, and operations to bridge existing gaps in regional infrastructure.
The collaboration is expected to enhance cross-border green energy connections and expedite the development of a comprehensive green energy service network. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of achieving “dual carbon” objectives. The alliance also invites additional partners to join the Zero-Carbon Smart Alliance to promote sustainable development collectively.
