Mazaya Developments Accelerates Project Progress with First Monorail Tour in New Administrative Capital
Mazaya Developments has taken a significant step in enhancing communication with clients, partners, and media representatives by organizing a detailed field tour of its key projects in the New Administrative Capital. This initiative showcased the company’s construction milestones, execution rates, and the rigorous quality management systems implemented across its developments.
Innovative Transportation for Project Insights
In a first for the real estate market, participants—including numerous clients and journalists—traveled via the New Capital’s Monorail, providing a unique perspective on the ongoing projects. The tour included visits to the Gemini Red project, strategically located between the Egypt Mosque and Justice City stations, and The Rook project, positioned between the Arts and Culture District and the Government District stations. This approach not only highlighted Mazaya’s developments but also emphasized the integration of modern transport solutions with urban planning, aligning with the company’s vision for smart cities and sustainable mobility.
Commitment to Quality and Efficiency
Mazaya Contracting, the construction division of Mazaya Developments, underscored its commitment to delivering high-efficiency, fully operational products. The company focuses on an integrated ecosystem that encompasses innovative planning, meticulous material management, rigorous quality testing, and seamless engineering coordination.
Eng. Ahmed Shams, CEO of Mazaya Contracting, noted that the company collaborates with top-tier consultants and design firms across various disciplines. By employing a precise pre-planning system and securing construction materials ahead of time, Mazaya ensures consistent execution rates that are resilient to market fluctuations and supply chain disruptions. Shams highlighted advanced engineering features, including ground floor heights ranging from 5.65 to 6.5 meters, which provide maximum operational flexibility, and the optimization of commercial spaces to eliminate inefficiencies.
Robust Infrastructure and Safety Measures
Shams confirmed that all projects are equipped with comprehensive operational infrastructure, including backup power generators capable of maintaining full operational capacity during outages. This infrastructure is complemented by substantial water reservoirs and advanced safety systems that utilize “Fresh Air” and “Positive Pressurization” technologies. To attract global brands and institutional investors, the developments include spacious underground parking facilities accommodating 230 to 250 vehicles, along with thorough technical logs documenting all material tests, approvals, and certifications.
Construction Progress and Future Developments
In terms of construction updates, Shams reported that the Gemini Red project has reached a 50% completion rate, while the Gemini Blue project is at 40%. Both projects are experiencing accelerated construction schedules, supported by a workforce exceeding 10,000 workers, technicians, and engineers. The architectural designs of these developments feature expansive service terraces on main facades and 3D facades engineered for visual identity and operational efficiency.
Meanwhile, construction on The Rook project has achieved 70% completion, with all concrete works finalized. Interior finishes, facade installations, and electromechanical (MEP) works are currently underway. The Rook integrates smart operational systems across all units, utilizing premium finishes and advanced insulated glass solutions for thermal and acoustic efficiency, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Launch of the Norm Project
Regarding the company’s latest flagship project, Norm, Shams confirmed that on-site mobilization began in January 2026. Excavation teams have cleared approximately 38,600 cubic meters of soil, completed land leveling, and conducted 15 soil-boring tests at a depth of 30 meters to assess soil bearing capacity for structural designs. With the rock bed level reached, current efforts are focused on securing final permits and initiating shoring works. Excavation is expected to conclude within 3 to 4 months, allowing concrete structure works to proceed at the rapid pace characteristic of Mazaya’s portfolio.
Shams reiterated the company’s commitment to advancing construction across all four projects simultaneously, maintaining high performance standards. By delivering developments that combine engineering excellence, operational efficiency, and long-term investment value, Mazaya continues to strengthen its position in the Egyptian real estate market and the New Administrative Capital.
