Football World Cup 2026 Travel Packages from UAE Start at AED 10,000, Soar to AED 70,800 for Finals

Travel agencies in the UAE have unveiled a range of tourist packages for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Prices for these packages begin at approximately AED 10,000 per person for first-round matches, escalating to as much as AED 70,800 for the final match. These packages encompass travel tickets, hotel accommodations, match tickets, and transportation services.

Agencies have indicated that the initial prices are subject to change based on booking timing, hotel type, and match ticket categories. Current demand from the local market is described as moderate, attributed to the geographical distance and overall trip costs. The interest primarily stems from dedicated fans eager to experience the tournament, regardless of its location.

Package Details and Pricing

Local travel agencies are offering comprehensive packages that cover essential travel needs, including flights, accommodations, match tickets, and local transportation. The pricing structure varies depending on the destination, accommodation type, and number of participants sharing a room.

For instance, packages for Miami are among the most affordable, starting at AED 10,000. This package includes a four-day, three-night stay with international flight tickets, hotel accommodations, daily breakfast, match tickets, airport transfers, and additional tours, including a day cruise. Fans can attend several matches, including Saudi Arabia vs. Uruguay on June 15, Brazil vs. Scotland on June 24, and Colombia vs. Portugal on June 27.

In Boston, packages range from AED 10,500 to AED 12,000, featuring a similar four-day stay and bus tours. These packages allow attendance at matches such as England vs. Ghana on June 23. Notably, ticket prices for high-demand matches, like France vs. Norway on June 26, can exceed AED 12,000.

Dallas offers packages starting at AED 14,500 for the Netherlands vs. Japan match on June 14, while another package for Argentina vs. Austria on June 22 begins at AED 15,000. In Monterrey, Mexico, a five-day, four-night package for Japan vs. Tunisia on June 20 starts at AED 14,500, excluding domestic flights. The Seattle package, which is the most expensive, is priced at AED 17,000 and includes a stay for the Egypt vs. Belgium match on June 15.

Crucial Matches and Final Packages

The cost of attending the World Cup final on July 19 begins at AED 70,800 per person. This package includes air tickets, three nights of hotel accommodation with breakfast, special airport transfers, and a Class I ticket for the final match. An American tour company also offers a three-night package with Class III tickets for AED 55,000, which does not include airline tickets.

Planning and Booking Insights

Mohammed Jassim Al Rayes, CEO of Al Rais Travel Company, highlighted the unique challenges posed by the tournament’s multi-country format and the spread of matches across 16 cities. He noted that the packages include all essential components such as flight tickets, hotel stays, match tickets, and transfers. However, final prices may not be confirmed until tickets are secured, as hotel and flight costs can rise significantly as match dates approach.

Al Rayes emphasized that integrated tourist packages provide a convenient option for fans, combining all necessary elements into a single offering. This approach alleviates the complexities of coordinating separate travel components and minimizes risks related to price fluctuations or service availability.

Market Demand and Challenges

Amin Al Awadhi, General Manager of Al Awadhi Travel Company, reported that the volume of packages available is limited due to the high costs associated with match tickets, particularly for significant matches. He noted that the prices for later matches can be substantially higher than those for initial rounds. The complexity of designing travel programs for semi-final and final matches is heightened by the critical need for match tickets, which dictate the other components of the travel package.

Al Awadhi explained that official ticket prices vary based on seating categories and locations within the stadium, with four main categories available, ranging from the lowest-priced fourth category to premium options in the first category, which includes the best seating locations.

Geographical Considerations

Bader Ahli, CEO of Dubai World Travel, remarked that while there is some demand for 2026 World Cup packages, it is significantly lower than the interest observed during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He attributed this disparity to geographical factors and the higher costs associated with attending the tournament in North America. The logistical requirements, including travel visas and long-distance travel, further complicate attendance.

Ahli noted that the demand is primarily concentrated among passionate fans who view the World Cup as both a sporting and tourism experience, despite the challenges posed by the distance and costs involved.
