Exciting Return of Dubai Premier Padel P1 Tournament in 2025
The world of padel is gearing up for an electrifying event as Dubai once again prepares to host the Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament. Following the resounding success of the inaugural tournament in 2024, which attracted an impressive 24,000 spectators, organizers are ready to elevate the experience for both players and fans alike.
Event Details: November 2025
Scheduled to run from November 9 to 16, 2025, this elite international tournament promises to be even grander than its predecessor. Early-bird tickets are already on sale, offering fans a chance to witness the action firsthand. The excitement surrounding padel has surged, prompting the organizers, Gallop Global, to relocate the tournament to the Hamdan Sports Complex, the largest indoor sports venue in the Middle East.
Upgraded Venue: Hamdan Sports Complex
This year, the tournament will take place in a state-of-the-art complex that boasts a 15,000-capacity arena—an impressive upgrade from the 5,000-capacity Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium used in 2024. The new venue features a record-setting 7,000-seater Centre Court, which stands as the largest court in UAE padel history. Additionally, attendees can enjoy three secondary courts and two practice courts, all accessible to fans.
Ticket Information
General admission tickets start at just AED 36, making it an affordable outing for sports enthusiasts. Fans purchasing a ticket for the Centre Court will have access to all other competition courts, ensuring they won’t miss any of the thrilling matches taking place.
Prize Pool and Competitors
The total prize pool has seen a modest increase, rising from €470,000 (AED 1.96 million) to €474,500 (AED 1.98 million), further solidifying the tournament’s status as a premier event in the sports calendar. This increase is expected to attract top-tier talent, including the world’s leading players such as the men’s World No.1 pairing Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, as well as the women’s leaders Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria.
Growth of Padel in the UAE
The return of the Championship has been hailed by key figures in the UAE sports community. Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Association (UAEPA), described it as a landmark moment for the rapidly rising sport. The UAEPA, established in 2014, has played a crucial role in fostering this growth.
Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, emphasized that the move to the Hamdan Sports Complex underlines the UAE’s increasing prominence on the global padel scene. The tournament not only showcases athletic excellence but also highlights Dubai’s commitment to elevating its status as a premier global sports hub.
A Vision for Dubai’s Future
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), noted that the tournament aligns with Dubai’s ambition to be the best city to live, work, and visit. The event contributes to the broader goals outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, reflecting the city’s commitment to fostering a vibrant sports culture.
Commitment to Excellence
Tournament Director Ivan Modia, who also serves as CEO of Gallop Global, reaffirmed that the innovations made for the tournament’s second edition are a testament to the exponential growth of padel. With the unwavering support of the UAE’s leadership, the event aims to deliver a world-class experience that emphasizes athleticism and community engagement.
The UAE and Padel: A Booming Partnership
The UAEPA, recognized as one of Asia’s pioneering padel federations, has been instrumental in the sport’s rise since its establishment. Today, the UAE boasts around 1,000 padel courts, accounting for 30% of Asia’s total and 2% globally. This rapid growth hints at a dynamic future for both the sport and the country, making the upcoming Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament a highly anticipated event for players and fans alike.
