Accompanied by executive leadership, project managers, and engineering teams, Eng. bin Ghalita reviewed construction advancements and operational readiness. This initiative underscores Dubai Municipality’s commitment to creating high-quality, future-ready coastal destinations.

Enhancing Dubai’s Coastal Landscape

The Al Mamzar Corniche Development Project is progressing in alignment with established timelines and is poised to redefine Dubai’s coastal landscape to meet global standards. The project is part of broader efforts by Dubai Municipality to enhance public beaches and solidify Dubai’s status as a premier global beach tourism destination. This aligns with the municipality’s vision to improve the quality of life through sustainable urban infrastructure.

During the visit, the Public Beaches and Waterways Management team provided a detailed update on the construction status, which has reached an impressive completion rate of 88%. This progress is driven by specialized Emirati technical teams, adhering to the highest standards of safety, environmental sustainability, and service quality.

Statements from Leadership

Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita emphasized the significance of the Al Mamzar Corniche Development Project in transforming public beach development. He noted that the project introduces a new generation of integrated coastal destinations that blend architectural excellence with environmental preservation and climate adaptability. This initiative aims to deliver sustainable social and economic value, reinforcing Dubai’s leadership in offering exceptional beach and leisure experiences for both residents and visitors.

Badr Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, highlighted the scale of these projects as a testament to their commitment to creating integrated coastal destinations. He stated that these developments are designed not only to meet current needs but also to serve future generations, thereby strengthening Dubai’s position in the global beach tourism market.

A New Coastal Destination

The Al Mamzar Corniche will serve as a vibrant urban space, transforming public beaches into key areas for enhancing quality of life and fostering community cohesion. This project represents a significant addition to Dubai’s coastal landscape, catering to those seeking privacy, tranquility, and luxury-oriented beach experiences.

Notably, the project will feature a public beach exclusively for women, designed to ensure privacy and safety. This beach will be available for night swimming and will be fully enclosed to guarantee complete privacy.

Comprehensive Infrastructure Development

The project encompasses a comprehensive and integrated infrastructure, including health and service facilities, as well as food and beverage outlets along the beachfront. All elements are designed according to global best practices to ensure comfort and privacy. Additionally, the development will feature interconnected tracks for walking, jogging, and cycling, children’s play areas, fitness zones, and beach activity spaces. Shaded seating areas will be available for continuous use from day to night, along with dedicated spaces for events and seasonal activities, including a shaded skate park.

Commitment to Climate Resilience

In line with Dubai Municipality’s commitment to climate adaptation and infrastructure resilience, the project incorporates measures to elevate beach levels and enhance coastal protection against climate change impacts. More than 500,000 cubic meters of beach sand have been utilized based on specialized environmental studies to improve shoreline stability and ensure long-term sustainability.

The Al Mamzar Corniche Development Project reflects Dubai Municipality’s dedication to developing public beaches across the emirate in accordance with the highest international standards. This initiative supports the objectives of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Public Beaches Master Plan, which aim to increase the total length of public beaches by 400% and ensure accessible, high-quality coastal destinations for all.
