Dubai, UAE – January 2, 2026: The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has wrapped up the 13th edition of its notable ‘Bil Arabi’ initiative, a celebration of the Arabic language that took place across nine prominent shopping malls in the UAE, as well as in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Pakistan. This year’s events highlighted the beauty, historical significance, and cultural richness of the Arabic language through a series of engaging activities and competitions.

A Milestone Celebration

Timed to coincide with World Arabic Language Day, this edition of ‘Bil Arabi’ introduced a new official website aimed at promoting Arabic literacy. The platform boasts an extensive digital library filled with a diverse selection of books, references, and translations catered to all age groups. This digital initiative not only makes resources more accessible but also offers sections dedicated to both regional and international competitions centered around the Arabic language. The website is designed to evolve, with plans for regular updates that will include new studies and the latest intellectual materials.

Commitment to the Arabic Language

His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, expressed the foundation’s dedication to enhancing the status of the Arabic language since the initiative’s inception in 2013. He emphasized that ‘Bil Arabi’ has played a crucial role in ensuring that Arabic remains vibrant and widely used in everyday life. The launch of the new website is seen as a significant advancement in the initiative’s mission to promote the Arabic language and raise linguistic awareness within Arab communities. He noted the importance of providing essential resources that adapt to the rapid changes in today’s world, demonstrating MBRF’s ongoing commitment to the development of Arabic.

This year’s ‘Bil Arabi’ initiative saw an impressive turnout, attracting over 12,278 visitors from various backgrounds and age groups. The participation extended beyond physical events, with millions engaging through the digital platform and social media channels, reflecting the growing popularity of the initiative year after year. Engaging activities and competitions captured the interest of many, fostering a deeper appreciation for the Arabic language.

Collaborative Efforts and Sponsorships

The initiative benefited from the support of multiple strategic sponsors, including notable names such as City Centre, Manar Mall, Bawadi Mall, Dubai Festival City Mall, Union Coop, and Abu Dhabi Media Network. Key sponsors like the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Anfasic Dokhoon, Talabat, and Fennec Perfumes played a significant role in supporting this year’s events. The initiative also garnered media attention through partnerships with outlets like TEN, Nabd, Entrepreneur, Phi Advertising, and Alghad TV, with additional support from gold media sponsors such as Money Secrets, New Digital Solutions, and Al Arabiya News Channel.
