Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX): September 30 – October 2

Kicking off the month is the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), themed “Empowering Global Action: Unlocking Opportunities and Advancing Progress.” This event, organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), is the largest platform in the region focused on sustainability and clean energy technology.

World Green Economy Summit (WGES): October 1–2

Growth of Dubai’s MICE Sector

The Dubai World Trade Center continues to thrive, welcoming 2.65 million event participants in 2024, a 7% increase from the previous year. This growth is attributed to a robust calendar of 378 Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) events, reflecting a notable 26% year-on-year increase.

The MICE segment has expanded significantly, with the number of events rising from 107 in 2023 to 135 in 2024, attracting over 2 million attendees. DWTC aims to triple the city’s MICE sector GDP contribution to AED 54 billion ($14.7 billion) annually by 2033, aligning with the ambitious D33 Dubai Economic Agenda.

With such a diverse and exciting lineup, October promises to be a vibrant month for Dubai, solidifying its position as a global hub for events and exhibitions.
