A Luxurious Upgrade for Dubai Police: Enhancing Public Safety on World Tourism Day

On September 27, in celebration of World Tourism Day, Dubai Police announced an exciting expansion to their elite patrol fleet with the addition of three luxurious vehicles from Mercedes-Benz. Each vehicle brings with it not just prestige but also advanced technology aimed at enhancing public safety.

Sophisticated Technology Meets Luxury

Represented by the Tourism Police Department under the General Department of Criminal Investigation, the new additions consist of the Mercedes SL 55 AMG, Mercedes GT 63 AMG, and the fully electric Mercedes EQS 580. Each vehicle boasts cutting-edge AI systems and interactive displays that provide real-time updates, enhancing the situational awareness of the officers behind the wheel. With these high-performance cars, Dubai Police aims to ensure a quick and effective response to any incidents that may arise at high-traffic tourist locations.

Celebrating a Strategic Partnership

The launch ceremony was presided over by Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation. The presence of senior officials from both Dubai Police and Gargash Enterprises, the official dealer of Mercedes-Benz, underscored the strong collaboration between law enforcement and automotive excellence in the UAE.

Brigadier Al Hajri highlighted that this expansion is more than just an upgrade in vehicle aesthetics; it represents Dubai Police’s commitment to adopting the latest innovations in automotive technology. “This move reflects our dedication to keeping pace with developed markets, thereby enhancing our police presence in prominent tourist hotspots like Burj Khalifa, Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, and Jumeirah Beach Residence,” he noted.

A Focus on Tourist Safety

With the influx of tourists to these popular attractions, Dubai Police is placing significant emphasis on safety and community engagement. Brigadier Al Hajri remarked, “Our aim is to bolster the sense of safety and security at Dubai’s key tourist attractions. These luxury patrols will also allow our officers to engage with visitors, providing assistance while strengthening the community-oriented image of Dubai Police.”

This approach aims to create an atmosphere where tourists not only feel safe but also welcomed. The police officers in these eye-catching patrols can take a proactive role in ensuring that visitors enjoy their time in the city without any concerns.

Sustainable and Future-Focused Mobility

The partnership with Mercedes-Benz is rooted in a mutual focus on sustainability. Thomas Schulz, General Manager of Mercedes-Benz Cars, expressed pride in the collaboration: “This partnership with Dubai Police underscores our joint commitment to sustainable, future-focused mobility. We are honored to see our vehicles serve in such a vital public safety role.” The inclusion of the fully electric EQS model further emphasizes this commitment.

Milestones Celebrated

The ceremony concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields between Brigadier Al Hajri and Mr. Schulz, marking yet another milestone in the continually evolving partnership between Dubai Police and Mercedes-Benz.

In adopting these cutting-edge vehicles, Dubai Police not only enhances their fleet but also sets a standard for innovative, luxury-based policing that prioritizes both public safety and visitor experience. As Dubai continues to attract millions of tourists each year, initiatives like these play a pivotal role in maintaining the city’s reputation as a safe and welcoming destination.
