The eighth edition of the Construction Technology ConFex (CTF) and Property Technology ConFex (PTF) concluded on May 1, emphasizing a significant commitment to advancing digital transformation within the built environment.
This year’s event took place in Dubai, backed by the Dubai Land Department and Dubai Municipality. It attracted over 1,000 participants from diverse sectors, including developers, contractors, consultants, technology innovators, and government officials. Delegates gathered from various regions and beyond to discuss the latest developments in construction and property technologies, placing a strong emphasis on sustainability, efficiency, and innovative building practices.
Organized by Ventures Connect, the 2025 edition presented a wealth of knowledge, featuring over 160 expert speakers and showcasing 40 exhibitors. A total of more than 550 business-to-business meetings were conducted throughout the event, facilitating knowledge exchange and paving new paths for partnerships within the industry.
Key Themes
The conference agenda was built around four main pillars: Tech for Climate, Tech for the Social Agenda, Tech for Competitive Edge, and Tech for Productivity and Performance. These themes reflected the urgent need to meet national decarbonization targets and accelerate the adoption of digital technologies in construction and property management.
A notable theme was the increasing convergence of Construction Technology (Contech) and Property Technology (Proptech). Speakers emphasized that as these traditionally distinct industries begin to merge into a single, technology-driven ecosystem, new operational efficiencies emerge. This convergence not only promotes sustainability but also enables flexible spaces that can adapt to changing user experiences and occupancy requirements.
Key focus areas in technology included Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), contemporary building techniques, robotics, common data environments, digital twins, and cybersecurity. The discussion also explored advancements in super applications, data center infrastructure, and tech-enabled urban life, which are transforming the way we think about our living and working environments.
Industry leaders such as Alec, Damac Properties, Masdar City Group, Emaar, and Sobha Realty shared compelling case studies, unique insights, and future aspirations. The networking opportunities provided attendees with valuable connections and practical information aimed at enhancing capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational efficiency (OpEx) throughout the asset lifespan.
The Construction Technology Awards 2025 recognized outstanding individuals, companies, and initiatives that exemplified leadership in sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation. With over 300 nominations across 24 categories, this prestigious award ceremony elevated industry standards and drew significant regional attention.
Aisha Ali, COO of Premier Construction Software and headline sponsor of the event, expressed her excitement, stating, “As a leader in the AI-powered construction ERP space, Premier Construction Software was thrilled to connect with fellow industry thought leaders at the 8th Annual Construction Technology Confex UAE 2025. This event allowed us to showcase how accounting software is transforming the way general contractors and developers operate. CTF serves as an ideal platform to champion innovation and advance the digital transformation narrative.”
“This year marked our biggest CTF and PTF yet, and the positive feedback from speakers, sponsors, and attendees underscores the growing significance of comprehending how digitalization and technology are reshaping the built environment,” shared Katie Briggs, director of CTF. “Contech and Proptech are evolving into a seamless ecosystem bound by technology, driving smarter, more efficient, and sustainable construction and real estate practices.”
