Dubai Founders HQ, Mastercard, and Pemo Strengthen Startup Growth with New Finance Solution Offering Over AED10,000 in First-Year Value
Dubai Founders HQ has announced a strategic partnership with Mastercard, supported by Pemo, to introduce a comprehensive financial solution aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency and cash flow of startups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This initiative, launched in Dubai, is designed to provide founders with essential financial tools that promote sustainable growth and scalability.
The new finance solution aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which emphasizes the importance of innovative financial management in fostering business development. Eligible businesses can access benefits exceeding AED10,000 in the first year, including up to 2% cashback on qualifying foreign exchange and advertising expenses, free access to Pemo’s expense management platform, Mastercard corporate cards, and various exclusive business offers.
According to the collaborating entities, participating businesses can expect to recover between AED 500 and AED 1,200 monthly from previously untracked expenditures. Additionally, the automation features of the platform can reduce administrative workloads by over 60 hours per month and streamline month-end financial closing processes from nine days to as few as three days.
Integrated Financial Management Solution
This initiative addresses prevalent challenges faced by startups and SMEs, such as fragmented expense management, manual receipt collection, and limited visibility over company spending. By utilizing a unified platform, founders can access Mastercard corporate cards, automated expense management through Pemo, real-time spending tracking, and accounting integrations with popular software like QuickBooks, Xero, and Zoho.
The solution enables businesses to issue cards to team members, establish spending limits, and implement approval controls. It also automates receipt collection and allows for real-time monitoring of company expenses. With cashback incentives, travel benefits, and automated financial controls, the platform aims to help founders retain more capital, enhance financial discipline, and concentrate on growth.
Supporting Dubai’s Startup Ecosystem
Hadi Badri, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation (DEDC), highlighted the increasing significance of efficient cash management and financial discipline for startups and SMEs in today’s competitive landscape. He stated that through Dubai Founders HQ, the organization is dedicated to offering practical solutions that address real business challenges. Badri emphasized that this initiative provides tangible value through cost savings, improved financial controls, and enhanced visibility over company spending, allowing founders to focus on scaling their businesses.
Badri further noted that the initiative underscores Dubai’s commitment to fostering a resilient and founder-friendly ecosystem that supports entrepreneurs and aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, remarked that the partnership reflects Dubai Founders HQ’s dedication to equipping founders with impactful business solutions. He stated that by assisting businesses in managing costs and enhancing financial visibility, the initiative lays a stronger foundation for sustainable growth within Dubai.
Driving SME Growth
Mark Elliott, Division President of East Arabia at Mastercard, mentioned that the partnership aligns with Mastercard’s broader mission to support small businesses and bolster economic resilience. He noted that this collaboration with Dubai Founders HQ and Pemo is part of Mastercard’s “Built Small. Moving Strong” regional resilience program, aimed at helping SMEs maintain business continuity and achieve lasting growth.
Ayham Gorani, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pemo, described the partnership as a significant milestone for a company established in Dubai, aimed at serving the region’s startup and SME community. He stated that this collaboration places enterprise-grade financial tools directly in the hands of founders, enabling them to manage their businesses more efficiently, make informed financial decisions, and grow with confidence.
This initiative further reinforces Dubai Founders HQ’s role as a collaborative platform between government entities and the private sector, broadening the support available to entrepreneurs and facilitating the growth of startups and SMEs in Dubai.
