Digital Dubai Strengthens AI-Driven Government Services at “Digitalising Life in Dubai 2026” Event
Dubai has reinforced its commitment to becoming a global leader in digital transformation with the “Digitalising Life in Dubai 2026” event, organized by Digital Dubai. This initiative brought together various government entities responsible for services, data, and digital technologies, aiming to enhance the integration of government operations through advanced technologies.
The event, held recently, focused on coordinating government efforts to accelerate the next phase of Dubai’s digital operating model. It emphasized the importance of aligning with rapid technological advancements to create more integrated and proactive services across unified digital channels. This initiative aligns with the “Dubai-it” initiative, which serves as a collaborative platform for government entities to develop shared methodologies and address common challenges.
The vision set forth by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, aims to accelerate AI adoption across government operations. This initiative seeks to unify services for individuals and businesses within a single digital ecosystem, laying the groundwork for a new model of government services that anticipates community needs and enhances the quality of life.
Four Strategic Pillars
The event featured workshops and discussions centered around four strategic pillars that will guide Dubai’s digital transformation journey.
The first pillar, AI-Ready Data, focused on developing interconnected, high-quality data ecosystems that facilitate the responsible use of AI while supporting decision-making and future service development.
The second pillar, The Future of Experience Service Delivery, aimed at creating a customer-centric government model. This model prioritizes the needs of individuals and businesses over traditional institutional structures, enabling seamless and accessible experiences through unified digital channels.
The third pillar, AI Execution, examined strategies for integrating AI into government services and operational processes. This integration is intended to enhance efficiency, productivity, and innovation.
The fourth pillar, The Future of Digital Maturity, addressed the creation of next-generation measurement frameworks that reflect emerging requirements and support continuous improvement in policymaking.
Single Ecosystem Powered by AI
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, emphasized that Dubai is entering a new era of government operations. He stated that the focus is shifting from merely providing digital services to creating services that are deeply connected to people’s lives. The goal is to develop proactive and integrated government experiences that operate seamlessly, ensuring that citizens receive what they need promptly and with minimal effort.
Al Mansoori highlighted that service design should be driven by the experiences of citizens, residents, and business owners rather than institutional boundaries. He stressed the importance of operating as a unified ecosystem that shares data and capabilities to deliver a cohesive experience.
Younus Al Nasser, Chief Executive of Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment at Digital Dubai, noted that data has evolved from a mere resource to the infrastructure supporting digital services and AI applications. He emphasized that the quality and integration of data are crucial for developing proactive and personalized services. An AI-powered government requires an integrated data ecosystem built on governance, trust, and interoperability.
Integrated Experiences
Matar Saeed Al Hemeiri, Chief Executive of the Digital Dubai Government Establishment, remarked that the future of service delivery hinges on designing integrated experiences tailored to customer needs. He stated that unifying platforms and methodologies will simplify customer journeys and create a consistent experience. Integrating services within shared digital channels is essential for building a unified government experience that aligns with Dubai’s vision of a connected ecosystem.
The event concluded with agreements on implementation pathways and actions linked to the four strategic pillars. Clear ownership was assigned to responsible entities, and mechanisms for ongoing monitoring and follow-up were established to strengthen accountability and expedite execution.
The broad participation of government entities at the event underscored a collective commitment to advancing a more integrated and proactive government model powered by data, AI, and institutional collaboration. This initiative reinforces Dubai’s position as a global leader in digital transformation.
“Digitalising Life in Dubai 2026” is part of an ongoing annual pathway led by Digital Dubai to align government efforts, resolve common challenges, and transform strategic priorities into measurable outcomes that enhance quality of life and bolster Dubai’s competitiveness in the global digital landscape.
